Certified Master Groomer
"Every dog deserves to feel safe. That's the only standard I work to."
Why It Matters
This isn't a franchise. There's one groomer, one set of hands, and fourteen years of continuing education — because your dog's comfort is a professional responsibility.

National Dog Groomers Association of America — the industry's most rigorous written and practical exam. Recertified every two years.
Completed the Fear Free Professional certification — a protocol developed by veterinary behaviorists to reduce anxiety, fear, and stress during grooming.
Advanced coursework in double-coat Doodles, brachycephalic breeds (Shih Tzus, Bulldogs), and fine-coated senior dogs with skin sensitivities.
Trained in low-table positioning, joint-safe handling, and medicated rinses for dogs with arthritis, skin conditions, or anxiety histories.
Spring coats aren't just heavier — they're structurally different. Here's the exact sequence we follow, and the reason each step exists.
10 min · No charge
Every spring appointment begins with a coat assessment. We check for matting depth, skin condition, and stress signals before a single tool comes out. If your dog needs a break, we take one.
Why it matters: Spring coats carry 4–6 months of winter undercoat. Rushing this step causes skin tears and panic. We don't rush.
Oatmeal-lavender shampoo + high-velocity dryer
A two-pass bathing sequence loosens the dead undercoat before any blade work. The oatmeal formula soothes spring-irritated skin while the lavender calms the nervous system — yes, it actually works.
Why it matters: Cutting through an unbathed coat drags and pulls. Bathing first means your dog feels the difference between a trim and a tug.
Hand-scissored or clipper finish — your call
Double-coat breeds (Goldens, Bernese, Huskies) get a deshedding rake and slicker sequence — never a shave. Single-coat breeds get the hand-scissored teddy-bear or lion cut you booked. No guesswork.
Why it matters: Shaving a double coat permanently damages the guard hairs. We know which blade your dog's breed requires before you arrive.
Dremel finish + beeswax balm
Nails are ground smooth — no sharp edges, no quick anxiety. Cracked spring paw pads get a coat of beeswax balm. You'll hear the difference when they walk on tile.
Why it matters: Most dogs' nails are overtrimmed or under-maintained. We use a Dremel for a smooth finish that lasts 4–6 weeks longer than a clipper cut.
Bandana, bow, or bare — your dog's choice
Final brush-out, a light spritz of oatmeal-lavender finishing spray, and a complimentary bandana or bow. You'll pick up a dog that looks like a magazine shoot and smells like a spa.
Why it matters: The finish is the moment you've been waiting for. We make sure it's worth the wait.

"Teddy came in with six months of mats I was too embarrassed to admit. She didn't judge me once. She assessed him, explained what she could save vs. what had to go, and texted me a photo mid-groom. He looks like a different dog. A happy one."

"Pepper has been turned away from three other groomers for "being difficult." She sat still for the entire appointment. I actually cried in the parking lot. She knows exactly how a frightened Shih Tzu needs to be held — that's not marketing, it's true."

"First groom ever. I was more nervous than Biscuit. She walked me through every step before it happened, let me stay in the room, and gave Biscuit a treat every 90 seconds. He didn't shake once. I've already booked the next three appointments."

"Margot has hip dysplasia and a skin condition. Every other groomer either refused or rushed her. Here she's lifted carefully, positioned on a non-slip mat, and bathed with medicated shampoo that actually cleared her hot spots. She's 12 — she deserves this."
Robert Fisch
Margot, 12yr Lab Mix · Old Town
"She explained exactly why shaving a Bernese Mountain Dog is a mistake and what to do instead. The deshedding sequence took two hours and every minute was worth it. Charlie stopped blowing coat within a week. This is actual expertise."

"Nugget came home looking like a cloud. A happy cloud. The oatmeal lavender smell lasted four days. Four days. I Googled "groomer near me who won't scare my dog" and found exactly that."
